Hello Trey of Diamonds
There are mainly 2 types of Sufism: The first is in accordance with The Qur'an and Sunnah, which are the two main sources of Islam. This is the correct practice of Sufism. The second is based on innovations, and is therefore incorrect. For more background, you may wish to have a look at these two IOL links: What Does Islam Say About Sufism Is Sufism Islamic?

Have you read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho? In this fictional novel Coelho touches on Islamic mysticism (Sufism). The outward journey towards the end of the road is actually the inward journey back to the beginning. To go is to return; to find is to rediscover.
