why are sikhs under islamic? they should be under hindu or eastern... both jainism and sikhism and buddhism are branches off of hinduism.

Sikhism grew out of Hinduism and Islam, we have a forum dedicated to Sikhism in the Eastern beliefs section. My question above was directed at Muslims, hence why it's in this forum.

Sikhism is monotheistic, and they have a holy book (the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, sometimes named the Adi Granth). It should even be easier for Muslims to accept Sikhism than Christianity, which seems to be generally regarded by Muslims as worshipping three Gods. When I was studying Hindi in India, I lived in a small town in northern India. The Sikh gurdwara was very close to one of the mosques, Muslim traders were often found to be wall-to-wall neighbours with Sikh merchants, and I never noticed any friction between any believers (there were also at least three Christian churches and a couple of Buddhist communities in the town).
