Yes, and are available as a sticky at the beginning of the particular forum.

In general, we have sections of forums for the way a question is discussed. Debate, conversation or discussion, and education in which education (where you are now) is to provide information of a particular religion or denomination. Questions here do not carry personal viewpoints but seek to clarify what the poster has said. Contentions are not allowed here.

Again, this is a religious forum and I will have to hear from the moderator if he or she does not want this topic discussed. What "sticky" are you talking about. Nobody is being forced to read or respond to what I have said. What's your problem? Sounds to me that you are trying to stifle free speech. However, if the moderator says no, then that ends it.

I AM a moderator and this is one of the forums in which I operate. If you have problems with my informal advice (I could have issued a warning and/or deleted the post), it would be best for you to inquire to one of the Super Mods or even Rex about my actions or the ReligiousForum policy.

Nobody is prohibiting the topic - it can be discussed or debated in the proper forum.

The rules of the forum are posted at the top of the forum menu.

The point is, who taught these tots to consider self above others and whine when they don't get their toy? Young children don't have to be taught how to be selfish or bad, but they do need to be taught how to be good. This I believe is the manifestation of the sin nature which is self-oriented. Why don't tots have the nature to share? Jesus exemplified selflessness, which always looks to the interest of others, and it is this basic nature that man is not born with.
Using that logic...Who taught the kids that grabing and possessing were wrong, and that giving up the toy is the correct behavior? For that matter, how does the desire to possess a toy represent sin? Even the Christian God is jealous, so why can't children be; what is wrong with that. yes, i understand that it can lead to bad behavior (look at what God did to people when he got jealous ), but it isn't necessarily bad in itself. I would even argue that it is a natural survival characteristic.
I just got an idea for a new topic, thx. (how is God "covetting" our worship different from us "covetting" other things?)

Maybe I'm blind, but I see nothing that suggests that telling someone about the Ten Commandments contravenes the policies of this RELIGIOUS forum. Please show me. I have searched and can't find what you say prevents my comments. Thank you :-)

Again, Daystar, this particular thread is in the discussion forum for a reason. This thread is for learning about the Islamic opinion regarding original sin. The point is so that people wondering how Muslims feel about this topic can read this thread and get an idea. If you would like to debate with Muslims (or even people of other faiths beyond the Abrahamic religions), or would like to discuss your opinions on the matter, you need to find the appropriate thread, or, if you do not find one, you should start one yourself.

We are not trying to stifle free speech. We are just aiming at organization. :P

Thanks!

Daystar,

I ran into the same confusion about which board to use.... maybe this will help:

Discussion For Religious/Non-Religious Chatting. Not Debating.

Debate These Forums are Specifically for Debating!

Go to either of these forums if you would like discussion or debate. The forum you are in is used for posts of information.... not for a discussion like you are currently having. The Admin and Mods here are wonderful people... just follow the rules and everyone will get along great!

Peace by with you,
Scott
