Some people from the Ansar* asked Allah's Apostle (to give them something) and he gave to everyone of them, who asked him, until all that he had was finished. When everything was finished and he had spent all that was in his hand, he said to them: '"(Know) that if I have any wealth, I will not withhold it from you (to keep for somebody else); And (know) that he who refrains from begging others (or doing prohibited deeds), Allah (God) will make him contented and not in need of others; and he who remains patient, Allah will bestow patience upon him, and he who is satisfied with what he has, Allah will make him self-sufficient. And there is no gift better and vast (you may be given) than patience.

*Means "helpers". These were the people of Madinah who responded to the Prophet's call to Islam.

This Hadith was narrated by Abu Sa`id in the "Al Jaami` Al Saheeh. Version 1.07 - By Imam Al Bukhari"

"The Prophet said thrice:"Should I inform you about the greatest of the great sins?" They said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "To join others in worship with Allah and to be undutiful to one's parents." The Prophet then sat up after he had been reclining (on a pillow) and said, "And I warn you against giving a false witness, and he kept on saying that warning 'till we thought he would not stop."

This Hadith was narrated by Abu Bakra in the "Al Jaami` Al Saheeh. Version 1.07 - By Imam Al Bukhari"

`Umar ibn Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
``As we sat one day with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings upon him), a man with pure white clothing and jet black hair came to us, without a trace of traveling upon him, though none of us knew him. He sat down before the Prophet (pbuh) bracing his knees against his, and resting his hands on his legs, said:

`
Muhammad, tell me about Islam.' The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: `Islam is to testify there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and to perform the prayer, give zakat, fast in Ramadan, and perform the pilgrimage to the House if you can find a way.' He said: `You have spoken the truth,' and we were surprised that he should ask and then confirm the answer. Then he said: `Tell me about true faith (iman), ' and the Prophet answered: `It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His inspired Books, His messengers, the Last Day, and in destiny, its good and evil.'' You have spoken the truth,' he said, `Now tell me about the perfection of faith (ihsan), ' and the Prophet answered: `It is to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you see Him not, He nevertheless sees you.' `Tell me of the Hour,' said the visitor, and he was told: `The one questioned knows no more about it than the questioner.' 'Then tell me of its portents,' he said, and the Prophet replied: 'That the slave woman shall give birth to her mistress, and that you shall see barefoot, naked, penniless shepherds vying in constructing high buildings.' Then the visitor left. I waited a while, and the Prophet said to me, `Do you know, `Umar, who was the questioner?' and I replied, `Allah and His messenger know best.' He said, `It was Angel Gabriel (the Angel), who came to you to teach you your religion ' ''

(Sahih Muslim (y-92), 1.37-38).

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
"A man was walking on a road when he became very thirsty. He found a well and went into it and drank and came out. There was a dog panting and eating earth out of thirst. The man said, 'This dog has become as thirsty as I was.' He went down into the well and filled his shoe and then held it in his mouth until he climbed out and gave the dog water to drink. Allah thanked him for it and forgave him." They said (The Prophet's companions), "Messenger of Allah, do we have a reward for taking care of beasts?" He said, "There is a reward for service to every living creature."

This Hadith was narrated by Abu Hurayra in "Maalik's Muwatta. Version 1.03. Book 49, Number 49.10.23. Sahih Muslim (5777) and Sahih al Bukhari (Vol. 3, no.551 & no.646)

On the Authoroty of Abu Abbas Abdullah, son of Abbas: One day I was behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he said to me: “Young man, I shall teach you some words of Advise. Be mindful of Allah (God), and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find him in front of you. If you ask, ask of Allah. If you seek help, seek help of Allah. Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, it will benefit you only with something Allah had already prescribed for you. And that if they gather together to harm you with anything, they would harm you only with something Allah had already prescribed for you. The pens had been lifted and the pages have dried”

This hadith is a sign of God's endless Mercy.

By this simple act of giving water to a thirsty dog, this man was forgiven for all his sins and admitted to Paradise.

Mercy towards others and towards animals by believers is a guaranteed path to heaven, as God is The Most Merciful, and He wants us to deal with each other with mercy and compassion.

Thanks Peace for that hadith.

All the best.

God won't let the good deeds of His servants go in vain, even if it was in an atom's weight, Allah won't let it go uncounted and without reward. Glory and all the praise be to our dear Allah, the Merciful!!!

Peace

The Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) said:

“Show mercy, so that you will be shown mercy.” The Prophet also said: “If you reach the morning don’t expect the evening; And if you reach the evening don’t expect the morning.”
