I do belief that ''Moderate Muslim or Extreme Muslim'' are indeed invented by the West as Essalam himself said since any muslim can go to heaven and be forgiven we should ask forgiveness for each muslim who committed a sin even the Taliban, Bin-laden and the rest because hell is not something you wish for your worst enemy.

There is a saying(hadith) that says that the religion Islam is thicker then blood ''family-blood'' we are more connected to each other then a family-bond if we all could live under this premises we would have a new Caliphate.
I think there are a lot of "Scholars" who spread hatred. This is the problem. It is not what Islam teaches, but they spread it under the name of Islam. They cause the problems, they guide others astray as authorities. This is why the Quran has stressed on point out those who were led astray by their elders.

I am bit confused onto why people feel that any Muslim would be forgiven. I would not even want Bin Laden to be forgiven. He caused so many problems for Muslims, we cannot even go through an Airport any more without being checkout 10 times. His ideology killed and tortured many innocent people.

Jewish people have taught themselves that they have exclusive rights on Heaven. This is not what Islam teaches. There is no benefit in saying the Kalima but having conduct worst then other Faiths or even Atheists.

And they say: ‘The Fire shall not touch us except for a small number of days.’ Say: ‘Have you taken a promise from Allah? Then, Allah will never break His promise. Or, do you say of Allah what you know not?’ (2:81)
Is it not pretty clear that people have different views as Muslims. They are labelled as Extreme to Moderate... It is hard to deny they exist. Now Islam itself teaches one thing which Muslims hold different views on.

Also when I see people wanting establishment of Khilafat is this the Quranic concept as in the four righteous guided Khalifs (Hazrat Abu Bakar(ra), Uthman(ra), Umar(ra), and Ali (ra)). Or do you mean as Muslim Rulers. And is it the Quranic concept where Allah establishes it or the view where some Muslims feel they can achieve this themselves.

There is no such thing as moderate Islam and non-moderate Islam. There is only one version of Islam, but it's more about those who adhere to it whether they are moderate or not.

I think Islam does teach mercy and forgiveness even in extreme cases

Islam condemns rejection and these people do go to hell according to my knowledge i am not sure if you agree or disagree...
I have the idea a kaffir (one who rejects/hides/cover/unbeliever) will not make it into heaven and there are many hadiths related to the subject that mention if a unbeliever does many good deeds who still cant enter heaven because he dies in hes unbelief. (or something similar like that)

I would suggest that a moderate wouldn't accept Sharia and a Extremist doesn't accept tolerance towards other religions both are not Islamic therefore they don´t exist in a Muslim perspective they are both causes of mostly the west... Since Secualrism gives the impression that we can do without Sharia and should do without it and the Forgein policiy makes more extreme people.

The persons should follow the companions, the family of Mohammed(saws) and Mohammed(saws) without a doubt but i meant as a Islamic Empire with muslims achieving it for example 700/800 till 1100, the bad thing in 1100 is that the rulers and judge's were judging people with justification and without mercy and this was the main problem evolving in the 1100 i have just finished watching a whole lecture of three great scholars also someone from Iran who is considered one of the seven intelligent persons alive. (it was boring thought) and pretty funny at the start as they were mentioning the titles and achievements of the individuals.

Lets not blame the West when a person who is perfectly capable of making decisions is influenced by the West. It is the persons fault for going off the right path. West did not bring about weakening of Muslims, they themselves went astray by incorporating many forms of shirk and becoming cruel as they moved further away from Islam's teachings. Allah (swt) is always with the righteous, and he only leaves their side when they lose him. Yet he is most merciful and reforms them even after their wrong doing as Allah (swt) has the attribute of Rehman.

does islam permit any sort of disobedience? does it permit free thinking when it comes to religion?
if islam places no unreasonable burden on it's followers, then these moderate muslims should not exist?

So true.
And the problem is that those videos are on internet and people believe this.
Muslims follow the mistakes of the "scholars", "imams". And non-muslims hate us more.

Which "burden" ?
Islam is not a complicate religion. Is easier than Judaism.

I agree we shouldn't blame the west for most of it like i mentioned but they definitely have a role in extremism *what has nothing to do with shirk*.
But i just want to give a couple of examples that there are ties within the foreign policy and extremism like the 9/11 Al-Quada said it was because of the bombing in Pakistan, Iraq and American forces in Saudi the FBI confirmed this. If we go back to the 80s it was the same reason.

The Taliban and Al-Quada are only created if innocent people get killed since they are rebels/guerilla fighters in mind, the more innocent died in Afghanistan and Pakistan the stronger the Taliban and Al-Quada became.

The Holy Quran

PG 6. There is a Hadtih that is of relevance. Anyone having time please have a look. In it people on a journey with the Holy Prophet (saw) started yelling "Allahu Akbar" rather loudly. At this point the Holy Prophet (saw) said "O People! Adopt a course of moderation. You are not addressing one who is deaf, or absent. You are addressing The One who is All-Hearing, Ever-Present and is already with you." (Muslim)
