What is being asked here, IMO, is asking Israel to sacrifice it's own security for a peace it will NEVER get.

ending the "occupation" will give Israel nothing but more terrorism and violence and will only force them to go back and "reoccupy" the West Bank and Gaza which makes the entire endeavor pointless

where is the motivation for Israel to do anything if peace, not some hudna, but REAL peace is not being placed on the table in exchange for a withdrawl from territory?

that's the one i'm talking about.
i say "in a perfect ideal world" because every offer for "peace" from the Arab leadership regarding the present conflict has rarely included an Israeli delegation to negotiate the terms of such an offer.

Well in that case it's not workable because you are demanding a concession from parties who you would propose be prohibited from the bargaining table and to whom you are effectively offering nothing in return. I don't know if you've ever studied negotiating technique, but that's a "non-starter."
