After I read the Iraq Body Count response to the study I must admit that I find the figures dubious.

IBC doesn't appear to have it right either. An Iraqi official announced yesterday that the number was around 100,000-150,000 (one quarter of the Lancet study and 2-3 times the IBC figure).

IBC is using a pretty rigid methodology. I'm sure they've mentioned that their figures are not likely to be the entire story.
