Whilst the Absolute Reality or Brahman is one, it can be described as Nirguna Brahman - formless and without attributes, or as Saguna Brahman, formed and with attributes. The many Deities in Hinduism fall under the category of Saguna Brahman where we give personalized aspects to God.

Friend Hema,
Form and the Formless are the opposit sides of the same coin. Water is form when heated it becomes vapour - formless. Body is form, soul is formless. Similarly when we talk about nirguna and saguna. Finally check your signature as to what each one os us are? Neither this nor that; neti, neti. Love & rgds |
