Being an Indophile myself (as an Indian, of course), I have to say something about the idea that India has never attacked an outside country.
If one studies the South Indian kingdoms and Southeast Asia, you find Indian influence in places across Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmur, Burma, etc. It is because at one point, all of them were under a Hindu Indian emperor. What India comprises or any other comprises did not exist times preceding the Modern age. All land was subject to grabs and power throws by separate monarchs. Asoka the Great expanded "Bharat" into present day Afghanistan, Pakistan, and parts of Iran. This is not a bad thing. History has redeemed all such kings on the basis of the times. There is no shame in it.

Friend Celina,
Even your Swaminarayan would have told you that all humans are equal and this division of people, countries, etc are man made so meaningless. Pride like other divsing acts comes from the mind and the objective of life itself is to surrender that mind / ego. In surrender there is nothing to be proud about. Love & rgds |
