It's the same everywhere else Akshar. I've been to other religious sites and the Hindu forums are all like ghost towns. Hinduism seems to be alive and kicking in the West, but is slowly being choked to death in the land of its origin due to indifference and increasing wealth. It's just a temporary low point I believe. We will rise again.

Perhaps Hinduism discussions can be found on sites in Indian languages. Writing in for example Hindi would perhaps be more convenient for discussions on terms and practices, and referring to Scripture quotes in Sanskrit might be more easily understood.

Activity is a question not only for Hinduism. I'm on a Daoist forum, which seems to embrace the principle of Wu Wei in the meaning, don't perform any unnecessary actions...

Thank you! It's not really that hard! Yeah cheese sucks, dairy is bad for you anyways. I use soy cheese to make pizza also...I love making mini pizza's on English Muffins.

Hi! Welcome to RF. I noticed that you said "WE will rise again." Does this mean that you are Hindu also? It will be really great to have a new Hindu on RF. Ah well, even if you aren't Hindu, thank you anyway for your kind words. I'm not from India but my ancestors came from there. In Trinidad there are many Hindus but some of them don't even know what treasure they were given in terms of Hinduism. I hope to see you around more often. Keep well.

Yes Hema, I'm Hindu, but I do not go to temples as such. I do yoga and meditation, and am with the group SRF for a long time now.

You can tell by looking at me that I'm a Shiva man.

Read my posts and you'll know.

I came to destroy.

Hinduism is dying in the same way that other religions are dying. Humanity is ready for something new. Something better.

I will destroy the old so that new seed can be sown.

Same here.
I spent a long time looking into Hinduism and once even considered it my path, I don't any longer but a lot of Hindu apects really make sense to me. I also love the beauty and diversity of the faith. Hinduism is pretty awesome!
I don't mind discussing it

I didn't write Hinduism off totally...It's one of the faiths I feel closer to, even now. I never really considered myself Hindu, I considered it as a possible path for me though. Nothing really turned me off to Hinduism...I'm a perpetual seeker and something within me told me to move along. There's a possiblity I'll come back to it in the future, I'm not sure. Anything is possible. My idea of god is much like Brahman and I love the symbolism and meaning of the gods (I saw them more as powerful energies and symbols of the unknowable Brahman)-- Saraswati and Shiva Nataraja are my favorites. I think the religion is beautiful and so is India. My real name is a Sanskrit word and is linked to Hinduism and Buddhism-- I never tell anyone online because it is so rare, they're might only be five of us in the US and I'm not joking! I think Sanskirt is facinating, too. It felt like something was missing though, exactly what I'm not sure.
