I haven't been regularly attending the temple. I have been to the one here in San Diego. I have also been to the one in Los Angeles and in Honolulu.

The first time I went to the temple was in Los Angeles. The person who introduced me to these teachings stayed in LA.

Oh Prabhu, believe me, its been a real roller coaster ride for me. Seeing my first Guru fall down really blasted me. I thought of him as a pure devotee and then to see him come on to some young Gurukuli boy devastated me. I am far from perfect, and am just trying to do my best as a Grhastha. My wife and I just had a little baby boy and named him Nitai Carana Dasa (servant of the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda). He has helped me stick with the straight and narrow, as well as my wife. Im not sure if you are interested or even live near the area. But Govinda Maharaj will be coming to San Jose, and Santa Cruz California soon. The dates are unknown as of yet, but my Godbrothers and Godsisters that live here in Utah, we will all be going there when he comes. I will actually ask my Gurudeva for Gayatri (Brahmin initiation) at that time. I hope that this will help me continue in this battle against maya. Where do you live, when you are not at sea? Anywhere near Utah? There are a couple Temples here... Maybe if you are ever in the area, look me up? We can have a raging Kirtan!!!!

I stay in San Diego. San Jose is more up north. If I am ever in utah, I'll look you up for some raging Kirtan . I looked at that website briefly. I wasn't aware at first that your disciple line is not under Srila Prabhupada. Sridhara Maharaja is one of Prabhupada's Godbrothers under Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati. I'll read more. Thanks for the link.

Cool. By the way, the temple in San Diego is unbelievable! I have not been there in quite some time. Usually I just go to New Dwarka and Laguna Beach temple when I get down to California. An old friend of mine is the President at Laguna Beach. Anywho, I am sure we will meet someday!

I was just thinking...

Were Sridhara Maharaja and Srila Prabhupada the only disciples under Srila Bhaktisiddhanta?
I thought there were more. But your website appears to only mention these two.

Yes there were many, many more. We refer to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Sridhar mostly because they were to 2 foremost disciples. Before Bhaktisiddhanta left his body, he made it known that Sridhar would be the fittest to continue on his line of Disciplic succession.

http://www.scsmath.com/n_corner/trove/brcr_trinity.pdf here is a link that I hope works but will help shed some light on the relationship that Sridhar and Prabhupada and Govinda Maharaj had.

I was just searching the Vedabase for Sridhara Maharaja and there is a letter of Prabhupada's where he mentions Sridhara's publication, "Gaudiya Darshan", and refers to his "very good assistant" Govinda Maharaja.
