i read about the story in a book a long time ago, i've either lost the book or given it away and cannot remember the name of the title or the author

....the book was on the life of buddha, describing some notable experiences from his life, the story i mentioned being one of those notable incidents
in think i've described it exactly the way i remember reading it
i'm no buddhist scholar so i can't say for sure if this story is the same as the flower sermon
