Where do you side on the controversy? Are the augmented use of vaccines a blessing or a risk on our health?

I get all the government and doctor recommended vaccines for our children. Living in a developing country can have serious health risks that can not be prevented so it is just a good thing to do.

MS,
Do not know the root of the controversy; and if at all there is one. Body like every other thing is temporary but till it is there it is also a responsibility to keep it healthy to the best of abilities and towards that one should try and do what ever is necessary [even vaccines] but keeping in mind that it is not the end all. love & rgds |

All our kids are vaccinated, we felt it was a lot safer for them to be vaccinated than not. We also felt like we had a responsibility towards other children who for whatever reason cannot be given the vaccines.

I agree; because of the debate here about the MMR vaccine has led to parents choosing not to having their children vaccinated; with the result that we are beginning to see pockets of the illness developing in some schools.........

My children are vacinated according to schedule. I think it is irresponsible to not vaccinate as it endangers others in the population unless religious or medical reasons are given. Check out the Time magazine article of June 6, 2008.

My mom vaccinated me, but as I get older I am declining vaccinations. Kids today have VERY low immunity, half from vaccinations and half from us bubble wrapping them. I believe that in the right health I do not needs vaccinations, in fact I don't use conventional medicine unless I am deathly ill and in ICU or something. I don't vaccinate my animals (except rabies, feline leukemia and WNV) and use holistic medicine on them.

It is essential for those in developing countries to have all the vaccines in place for a healthy child. I given all the vaccines as prescribed by the Doctors and also extra vaccines for all the Hepatitis Diseases to my Child of age 3.
