Since affection came through words and gestures I grew up without much response to affection through physical touch. If people hugged me I would let them but as far as I was concerned it was wierd, even annoying if they persisted. It changed later on and now I would miss it like crazy if deprived.

Do you know that as I read this I should be preparing for a neurobiology exam on Tuesday. Maybe I'll get the invigilator to give me a hug prior to the 3hr paper citing this topic and telling her it will help to fire my synapses prior to the exam
