My vision of God is clouded but I try to percieve him/her through every sense nature has given me.
I havent reached a conclusion, I guess my relationship with God is an evolving dynamic and always will be, so I have come to this site for more guidance, more.....knowledge. Thankyou. |

May I ask how you came to Gnosticism? How familiar are you with it?
And what's your favorite scripture thus far!? ![]() |

I came to Gnosticsm because I knew that what you cannot do is turn away truth.
Gnosticism offers a person a way to consolidate his or her mutitude of experiences and observations of the natural and spiritual world. It feels right....I know that Jesus was a better being than the mad cultist the Roman catholic church has portrayed him as. I know that evolution is correct. I know that there is more to reality then what can be seen. I know God created the universe to give life forms something to stand on. I know I am but a brief creature, but that my soul is eternal and is a part of the whole of God. My personal God knew that for a long time I despaired of the countless tragedies of this world, which is why he/she never failed to repeatedly show me the beauty of it all, God tells me that without pain and suffering than can be no joy or happiness, nature cannot work only one way. It took a long time to understand this, but I did, and now I look for other answers. As for scriptures I read from the Bible from the Quraan from Gnostic gospels from science textbooks from posts on religion sites...my God is in them all. |

I have a habit of drifting off on a tangent.
My grandad was a gnostic (ex communicated for communism in fact) he wrote lots of private manuscripts which I recieved when my gran passed away. He basically wrote a rough guide to gnosticsm, I knew about the Valentines and the Gospel of Mary Magdeline directly from his papers. He illuminated for me what I had already suspected. I have never looked back. My mother (a devout christian) despairs of my apostasy. Yet I have never felt so free and so close to God. |
