"Light and Darkness, life and death, right and left, are brothers of one another. They are inseparable. Because of this neither are the good good, nor evil evil, nor is life life, nor death death. For this reason each one will dissolve into its earliest origin. But those who are exalted above the world are indissoluble, eternal."
from The Gospel of Philip Any thoughts peeps? For me, this passage emphasises that although Gnosticism seems dualistic on the surface i.e. God vs Demiurge. When you really know the truth of it, you see that Gnostics understand all is One. Those who truly understand this are "exhalted above the world" or in otherwords are enlightened with the gnosis of the truth of God.

In the mainstream Christianity and Judaism, I see God and Satan in two possibilities:
Do you mean that you see the (original) Perfect Aeon and the Demiurge as the One in Gnosticism, halcyon? If so, then wouldn't discount the myth in Apocryphon of John?

Edit : Thereby showing comparison as a relative tool, and therefore beyond the absolute of Gnosis/Tao/... (sorry for the edit... just forgot to write the conclusion of my point).
