Was Jesus a Buddhist ?. Were his beliefs based in Buddhism ?

The only big problem is, Buddha believed in reincarnation, and I believe Jesus did too, but the Bible ( my original question ) misinterpreted what Jesus really meant. If we go by what the Bibles says, then what Buddha and Jesus are saying is not the same thing.

The Bible says Jesus taught reincarnation. He told them John the Baptist was the Prophet Elijah, if they could accept it.

I also believe when Jesus spoke about the kingdom of God, he was really referring to your inner being.

Even moreso in the Gospel of Thomas- "If your leaders say to you, behold the kingdom is in the sky, then the birds of the sky proceed you. If it is in the sea, then the fish proceed you. Rather the father's kingdom is inside of you and outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will understand that you are the children of the living father, but if you will not be known, you dwell in poverty, and you are that poverty."

No. Christianity and Buddhism are diametrically opposed religions. There are similarities but many other religions can profess pretty much the same in way of charity, goodwill, compassion, and loving kindness.

I think all the similarities are there myself, as I've been pointing out. I think Christianity just distorted the message of Jesus, and it's their perspective on things that is out of line with Buddhism, not the teachings of Jesus themself.
