Why do the majority moderate allow the extremist Islamic majority to control them?

The Islamic extremists pollute the media, education, and even political systems of the moderate Islamic peoples and yet this vast majority remains silent to the blatant liabel and hate spread towards the US and Judaism. They allow their children to be taught fear and hate for all the world save Islam.

I hear so often that Islam is a religion of love. If so then why does the majority of loving Islam stay silent while the minority spreads fear, hate, anger and violence. I just dont understand.

You do realize that the main product hocked by the media throughout time has been sensationalism and reporting extremist views, right? The problem is not the media, it's individuals who are unable or unwilling to think or to find out for themselves if what they are being sold is true or not. I know some exceptionally decent Muslims who I would willingly lay down my life for if it came to it. I think you should get to know some Muslims as well. I think you will find that they are not all that different from anyone else.

I am not ignorant to the vast majority of good Muslims. You misunderstand, my issue is that same majority of good muslims allowing anti-semitic/US media to be published and aired in their coutnries and while they dont agree they remain silent against it. For a violent minority to be able to speak injustice and the majority to remain quiet out of lack of interest or sloth is saddening.

I myself have many friends who are Muslim and I ask them the same thing. Why do they not speak out against Jihad and the Mujahadeen. They dont have a response. Hate groups spring up in the western world and spew hate liable sheltered by our laws of free speech and the moderate Islamic groups are not there standing across the street denouncing them? Why?

no actually they do stand but that itself wont be shown for you in the Media , See who controls the Media ..

I don't have an opinion either way, but what you said here does not follow. If they are taking a stand then how is it the "minority" still controls all the media? That does not make sense, the opposing "majority" would be perfectly capable of producing their own media. In fact taking a "stand" would mean that they would produce their own media.

because they are scared. really. they may disagree and be truly upset and saddened by the hatred, rascism, and violence they see extremist Muslims propogate. but they know the risks of publically speaking up against these kinds of people, and many are dismayed and heart-broken in near-silence for the safety of themselves and loved ones. many don't consider it worth the risk or effort, even if they wanted to, and so do their best to live Islam peacefully and kindly, and perhaps to speak out on-line. to live out Islam as they wish to see it lived out, as a lifestyle witness, instead of actively taking on the extremists themselves.

Well, I am sure some of them are cowards, like you suggest, but not all of them.
