Absolute Evil and Absolute Good do NOT exist in this universe. Our universe is imperfect. It is therefore logically (as in demonstrably) incapable of containing any infinite quality of either Evil or Good. Even if we had an internally consistent definition of Good and Evil (as in one that if taken to an infinite extreme it would not break down at any point; this is notorious in its difficulty, assuming it isn't impossible to construct); the universe's own flaws would prevent the implementation of such a thing.


For instance: If we were to term Evil as being a behavioral model indicative of self-serving methods and outcomes, then Absolute Evil should be a behavioral model which completely ignores all methods and outcomes which are not 100% self-serving. This is impossible for any being to actually do. You cannot preferentially select behavior which will ignore the benefit of your neighbors all the time and still have neighbors (you could conceivably kill off every person in the entire cosmos to "rid yourself" of this "problem," but that is practically impossible and a current demonstrable falsehood).



And as far as child psychologists go pretty much the standard fare for child psychology rules out children having advanced moral framework/concepts. Learning begins its path by ruling out actions/behaviors which have negative consequences and favoring those behaviors which lead to positive consequences. So if you punish, then actors are less likely to perform said action again. And if you reward, then the opposite is true. Remove a person's ability to feel pleasure (as in remove the pleasure centers of the brain) and you remove a person's ability to make decisions at all (they can't tell what would lead to a more desirous outcome...).



But I think what is most shocking is the blatant ideological plagiarism of the movie Dark Crystal. If you are going to espouse a knock-off ideology online you could at least use a source more arcane (or at least one more hard to find) than a bloody muppet movie.

Again you are agreeing with me. The OP makes it clear we do not have absolute evil today, having said this, the Balance of Good & Evil is off scale and intervention is forgone because the order of creation was that Evil be absolute. Today the Power of Darkness roams frantically because many are trying to destroy its sovereignty by destroying Good.

Create new worlds from out of the darkness of void.

Sexual intimacy also takes place most often when it's dark outside.
Though I prefer the lights on.

oh... and black eyeliner, lipstick and aparal can look very alluring.

Oh yes... and the dark is the best way to see UltraViolet things.
Blacklights and all that... illuminating what's "invisible" under "whitelight"...

Also the brightness of the suns rays is not all goodness.
That's why you need your UV shades.

I think we think of darkness as evil because we are afraid of the unknown, a good thing when it makes us want to learn but it can be a bad thing when it makes us afraid for no reason.

Because of where I live we have only about 4 hours of darkness in the summer, it is horrible, I would hate to live in one of those places that have 24 hour sunlight, I would go dolally.

So you actually think that the universe is the complete and total reality of all possible traits? Ah yes, I completely forgot that our universe wasn't in fact a part of an eleven dimensional reality completely beyond our own universe. Ah yes, and I also happened to completely forget that anything which is inferior to something else cannot possibly be perfect. Yes, Silly me!


We have no such thing. We cannot even conceive of the form of absolute Good or Evil. Our universe is incapable of supporting the existence of such things and our brains our woefully incapable of conceiving of anything taken to a true infinity. A simple thought experiment of trying to conceive of infinite apples proves this; no one is capable of seeing in their mind's eye all infinity of apples all at once. So even if our universe could support an absolute quality we are incapable of conceiving of it; which means we cannot possibly have a concept of absolute Evil or Good.


Actually, the definition of absolute Evil I constructed (which by the way is a complete fabrication since we have no such agreed upon definitions of Good and Evil) is incapable of existing period. It would either kill off everyone in the whole universe (which no amount of absolute Good could stop since absolute Good under the same system would be a being that was incapable of engaging in self-serving behavior, and that would lead to eventual suicide/sacrifice at the hands of the agent of Evil as at some point it would become necessary for the "agent of Good" to die in order to save someone else's life) or be self-contradictory. True infinities break down when you try and implement them in our universe. Our universe can't support them. We are not perfect beings; we cannot implement a perfect morality system (for Good or for Evil).


And that last part is total nonsense. I can only hope that last bit was stated out of pure ignorance because to think you have any idea about what you speak and still believe it chills me to the bone... Absolute Evil was never meant for this universe or any other for that matter.

And no one of this planet without serious mental illness seeks the destruction of that which is Good. We are still fighting about what it means to be Good; this does not mean that any of us hate Good.


Balance is found internally not externally. Suddenly introducing a whole bunch of "Good" or "Evil" into our lives is not suddenly going to make society or individual people any more "balanced." If someone is not capable of grounding their self and harmonizing their interests, desires, beliefs, and actions and doing so with those around them, then no amount of "love juice" or "hate juice" is going to help them achieve that.
