I'm wondering if, here on RF, there is a correlation between religious belief and paranormal belief, and/or a correlation between atheism/agnosticism and lack of belief in the paranormal.
For the sake of this poll, belief in the paranormal means you believe in any of the following: astrology telepathy telekinesis any psychic abilities ghosts astral projection/oobe prescience past life memories reincarnation I am an atheist and do no believe in any paranormal phenomena. |

Pantheist, uncertain about a prime mover force behind it all.
But my answer is yes regarding the paranormal. |

Crap, I voted wrong! I am a believer in both God and the paranormal, but I accidentally voted: theist, do not believe in paranormal. Could a mod fix that?
Anyway, I believe that most of what the OP listed is possible, but at the same time, I'm rather skeptical of paranormal claims. Possible does not mean common.

Well, only the one, reincarnation. My scientific knowledge is limited (very, as you may see) but i do know that energy cannnot be destroyed or created, so our souls upon deaths, recycle or go into something new...

I'm agnostic on all counts, so I didn't vote.

Greetings
I voted 'I am an atheist/agnostic and also believe in paranormal phenomena'. Religion and Theism are not the same to me. Whereas I have views about things which others would consider to be religious or paranormal, they are pretty normal to me. I believe in some of the above and some of what has not been included. But it's not really paranormal phenomena to me... I doubt people will believe me if I say that I experience 'paranormal' or 'religious' experiences daily, because it's not a normal thing to claim. That's why I generally don't call it 'paranormal', because it's pretty normal for me. Just like feeling God's presence is 'normal' for theists and abnormal for atheists, aspects on my religious experiences are normal for me, whilst they would be generally considered strange for somebody who didn't believe what I do. Did that make sense? But yeah I mean, religion doesn't have to be theistic...My religion is centred largely on what is considered 'paranormal' rather than 'theistic'... Im terrible at explanations. Edit: Woop! Just me for Atheist/Paranormal so far! GhK.
