Religious question on Satan
How intelligent is Satan? More then humans? This is really a personal question as I consider satan to be fiction and he could be as smart as we want him to be. But some of you really believe in god and satan.
So how smart do you think he is? He wants to lead us astray? He wants us to turn away from the true god? He predates all of the prophets... was here before jesus... certainly before the bible. What if his plan is to create the god you believe in and the texts and ideas... what if he does talk to people in exactly the way they would expect. He's crafty right? Tricky? Evil? What if he created this vague uncertainity for seperation... to stir wars and intolerance. To spread his purpose and to lead people astray. Just an idea I heard. Some superpowerful, evil, highly beyond human capacity intelligent with supernatural powers and a master of trickery... seems like this is something he could pull off.

Depends if Satan is all-knowing as well. If you are allknowing, intelligence is no longer a factor..

There is no entity called "Satan". It's a metaphor. Every rational soul that esxists has a "satan" the urge to behave like a self-centered beast rather than as a compassionate other-centered man/woman.
"Get thee behind me, Satan" is a call to act on behalf of others rather than for self. Talking snakes are just a metaphor. To make Satan a separate entity is to make partners with God. God has no partners or equals. Regards, scott

IOV "satan" is simply a name for our own lower (animal) nature when we give it control instead of our higher (spiritual) nature! God is One, Supreme, and has no equal or rival! There is no "devil" nor any need for one because we humans regrettably tend to be our own worst enemies. No further evil is needed as we create all too much ourselves. Peace, Bruce
