What makes one religion more valid than another?

that 2+2=4 line is comprehensible just about everywhere on earth and all that is missing is the 2 of 'this' (X) + 2 of 'that' = 4 of them...............

but the math is universal

and knowledge evolves

put 2 and 2 together and guess what......... eventually the sciences will remove the need of religions because then people can learn exactly 'how it works" without any further need of magic (the hand of GOD) to define the unexplained

Telephone game exageration is not really what people believe. I would reccomend Carl Sagan's Cosmos as a basic history and his Demon Haunted world after that. Once you read those we can continue.

You just stated demons as a fact. That the DO exist. Really? When was that proven? By whom? What evidence do you have? That's an insult, and uncalled for. Ancient demons that have names are just names given to creatures blamed for ills. Hearsay is good enough for me. Just as some are born blind, some are born without the ability to sense spirits. I can kind of sense them, and I have sensed great dark clouds of energy. Paranoia? Maybe, except for the fact that I didn't feel threatened. Conjured feelings? Maybe, except for the fact that other people felt the same thing at the same time and told me after the fact. I haven't felt any for a while. Maybe it was all just a delusion? Maybe, except for the fact that I'm not exactly in good health right now, and my other senses are also not very good because I've spent most of my life in front of some screen or another and listen to rock, Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart on full blast. Overloading the senses causes them to diminish.

Just because you have no experience with them, doesn't mean they don't exist at all. I guess the Holocaust really was a myth. After all, there's only hearsay evidence. Now, how does that make you feel? (by the way, I don't really believe that. I shun anyone who calls the holocaust a myth) Believe what you want, I don't care. But stop insulting us and our beliefs, or I'll report you to the mods.

The Holocaust was not hearsay... You said you dont believe it... You are proving yourself wrong as you type.

You can believe you can SENSE demons... But there are only 5 senses. Are you claiming a 6th? Its a good movie... (I SEE DEAD PEOPLE!)

There is no EVIDENCE or PROOF for DEMONS. NONE. 0. Zip. Its a myth. A fairy tale. Some people persist in believing anyways. They have that right. You can travel the country and people will pay you to find demons and mark them or evict them. Have you ever even heard of James Randi? Carl Sagan?

I don't think you understood my example. If you actually READ what I typed immediately after, I said I shun anyone who calls the holocaust a myth. I was giving an example of how it feels when something you believe is just stated as idiocy and mocked. It makes us feel bad, and makes us not like you. And believe me, I don't want that.

And yes I believe in a sixth sense. It has nothing to do with the movie, although yes, that was a good movie. (ALL THE TIME) (actually, I've only had a few paranormal encounters in my life, and I've never "seen" anything)

And yes there is evidence. Technology can detect abnormal electromagnetic readings in places that are supposed to be "haunted." Sure, you might say that all that is just fake hoaxes to get my money, but you yourself require evidence. Well, there is none. I'm not talking about the Amityville Horror case, where there is evidence, and lots of it, for a conspiracy. Besides, I'm not talking about that show A Haunting that airs on Discovery Channel, although I do watch it now and then. (I'm very skeptical about it, though) And by the way, there's also testimony on the internet from tons of people who have NOTHING TO GAIN by telling personal ghost stories. They are anonymous, they don't get paid, and they are forgotten. What would be the point, therefore, to tell a lie? For fun? Too many people and too many ghost stories for that. Evidence is everywhere, but it is nowhere if you don't look for it. I don't believe the Big Bang is what started the universe, for example. I believe it happened, but that it was one of many such explosions. There is evidence(can't remember where I saw it) that there are stars "older" than what we have agreed is the age of the universe.

I don't care if you believe in what you think of as demons. (I don't quite think we're on the same page; I don't believe in tribal demons) I don't care that you're an atheist. Just don't mock us. That's what stirs hatred and causes wars. In that sense, atheism is just as "bad" as theism. Only when you accept the fact that IT DOESN'T MATTER what people believe will the hatred stop.
