Why Worship Anything?

What is the reason that you worship, if at all? If there isn't a reason, what is the point? Are there different kinds of worship?

Worship a god you mean? I certainly don't do that. But I do worship chocolate bars. Yummmmm. But in all seriousness, "the point" behind not worshipping anything is that there is no point. It sounds cold, I know, but sometimes you have to look at it from a cold point of view.

I would like to elaborate. A feeling of security and comfort maybe. But in my opinion, religion makes one uncomfortable, and insecure.

Ah yes, but is the "thing" worship values actually something? And no, I can be a selfless person without worhip. I do it by donating money, volunteering at the hospitol, etc. Our actions are the beginning of selflesness and humility.

Oh, how cute. The "Bible tells me so" arguement. Well hey, btw, the book called "There's a Monster Under my Bed" claims thier is a monster hiding under every bed. Take a look, do you see any monsters? I sure don't.
