So you don't believe in God because you don't have a valid argument FOR YOURSELF. Well lots of people have justification that is satisfactory FOR THEM. I know it may not be enough for you, but by outwardly comparing yourself with other people comes off as very arrogant and anything but loving. I'm not saying that you are wrong or anything, I'm just pointing out that your tone and choice of words is very off-putting. |

He's asking for "hard evidence" to support a "faith" in God. Get in line, buddy. You're going to be waiting for a long time. If you want evidence for the existence of God, that can literally be found everywhere.

It's like I told science_is_my_god... And it's the reason why I said that if you're looking for "hard evidence" of the reason that people believe in God, you're never going to be satisfied.
Some people are stuck in their heads, waiting for God to reveal himself, but only exactly the way that they want him do. The people that DO see God see him THROUGH other things, through people, through circumstances, through life, through struggles, through pain, and through joy. And that still doesn't PROVE the existence of God. But God doesn't need to be PROVEN, because all that matters is your own relationship with God and sharing that with others. If you attempt to prove God's existence, how are you helping God? You're just helping yourself because you don't want to feel stupid. That's my perspective anyways. Sorry if it's not what you're looking for, but it seems to me to be the most honest in all my experience knowing God. |

This is the best answer, so far, but even it falls short of being a worthy answer. Given that there is ultimately no division between subject and object, in reality, one is only patting themself on the back. As long as it is not a mechanical act, I suppose, there is no lasting harm in it.

Your evaluation of its worth is not my concern.
