If religions become totally non-evangelistic, you may have an argument.

The OP was not asking the question do you believe in God or an afterlife or whether religious people was right or wrong in what they believe. The OP was talking about acceptance between people of different religions.....Learning to understand and listen to each other, and maybe learn something of value from each other....

And what is involved in acceptance? Accepting the words "In God we Trust" on coins, liscense plates, and in the pledge of allegiance? Alllowing religion to dictate politics?

Not at all. I think doing that is violating the separation of church and state policy that we have, as well as a direct violation of the first amendment, of which one of the freedoms is religion.

I believe it ends when people realize that we have no real way of knowing who is "right" and who is "wrong" when it comes to religion. And when everybody accepts that their religion is not the only "right" one.

This has nothing to do with coins, license plates or the pledge....In case you didn't understand the op it means that if the religious people would start listening and being more tolerant of each other's beliefs then all the discension and animosity would finally end.... This has nothing to do with religious beliefs toward unbelievers this is acceptance of religious tolerance from one religion to another.
