The thing is it is the woman's choice to have the child or not. I mean if the woman wants to and the man doesn't should he be obliged to help with upkeep? What if the man wants to keep it and the woman doesn't? Anyway abortion isn't murder in any way shape or form. Or is killing any sort of organism murder?

Your missing my point..But yes...if the woman wants to keep the child he should be "obligated" with the "upkeep".Why shouldnt he?

A man has no legal say in if the child is kept or not. Why should he have a legal responsibility? If the mother has the child knowing full well she does not have the fathers support then she should expect nothing from him. It is different if the fathers say he will support and bales out later when there is already a kid.

Its a womans "choice" to carry a child to full term and deilver or not...If she choses to deliver..He is responsible for that child as much as she is..Its his legal and moral obligation..

Having a child entails many many many years of dedication and financial support..The child is innocent..The father in question should not walk away and say its her responsibility alone because she did not abort or give the baby to someone else.....they BOTH had sex together...they both are responsible..

This is sick...and its real personal to me...My little 8 week old grandbaby that I was cuddling here with last night...My son had tried to convince my DIL(his girlfreind) to abort ..She was NOT going to do it..His Name is Elliott Matthew..My son calls him 'monkey"...They are poor as poppers..Its not easy...but my son KNOWS now that there is a baby here...HE is responsible in the care of this child..

My son is responsible legally and morally for this baby...As much as his girlfriend is...If he didnt want to be he should have kept his zipper up...

What if it were the case that the father wanted to keep the child but the mother wanted to abort?

Do you think the father has the right to force the mother to carry the child to term, and then say that she is also responsible for helping to raise it?
Assuming you don't think that is fair, how is it different with the sexes reversed?
