I think it's the person who does the abortion that would actually be the one who murders the baby... The mother and maybe also father just told them to do it.

And as far as it taking two to tango, if a man isn't going to finish the dance then why start. There should be responsibility taken for your actions, but the man can walk off and leave the woman to bear all the consequences alone.

I'm not saying all men are this way, but I have seen it happen so many times when I worked in surgery and obstetrics. Most of the time the father doesn't even care enough to be there for support to the mother much less even care about the baby at all........Getting a woman pregnant doesn't necessarily make a father, it takes a real man to stand up and face his obligation..........Accepting responsibility that is a father.

The babies father was moving back to Arizona and my half sister lives in North Carolina. He wanted her to give up the child because of what she stated and also because of his life situation.

My half sister decided to keep the child since she has changed her mind and now she feels that she can raise this child without anyones help. She states that she can prove to everyone that she can do it. I know my sister. She is not one to be able to handle a child. She is not one to hold a job or even stay in college. She is one of those that will get her self kicked out of college dorms, fail in her classes, drop out of classes, party almost everynight, do drugs and drink alcohol, not have money to pay for gas or food, even though her parents put money in the bank for her. She was never a responsible person. She always lies constantly even up to now. This has all been since she was 13.

What do you do in situations like these? Her parents are catholic but they just could't take it anymore. The things that she has done and is doing, made them doubt their own daughter. Her grandparents from her step-fathers side are the once that said to keep the child because if she gets an abortion, they "will loose all respect" for her. Her parents are just not able to be responsible anymore. Her step-father is very sick and has not worked and won't be able to go back to work. My step-mother is the only one bringing in the income working 2 jobs just to pay off my sisters loans and rent so that my sister can stay somewhere 3 hours away so she can finish school that she is not even attending.
My sister won't come back home because she wants to stay where she is but is unable to keep the place she is staying at. She is no longer under her parents insurance since her parents finally found out that she dropped out of school. But she says she is still attending.

I think I will end it here because, abortion was in my mind when she had told me she was pregnant and it is still in my mind. But I can't do anything about it or was I able to do anything about it. I did not recommend or suggested to her to have an abortion. I don't believe in abortion unless abortion is needed. Like health wise or financially if one is not willing to give up the child for adoption.

This is only my opinion, however it does come from personnal experience.
I had my first child for two reasons;
1/ I was too afraid of getting an abortion and the needles involved (yes, how funny is that AFTER you have been in labour (but this is irrelevant)
2/ My career was not working and I knew my life was going no where, and since I was already pregnant it gave me an excuse and a purpose.
This second one sounds similar to what your half sister is doing. Although I love daughter number one, it was not the best choice for my life and I do wish someone would have sat me down and talked to me about it all.
