I would not say anything. But the idea is to get as accurate as possible than anything new will hopefully have a minimal impact on existing beliefs. I believe my flower needs water to grow. Learning that it also need sunlight to grow does not change my belief it needs water to grow.

Yes a great deal of people are reasonable and level headed but that does not justify the damage done by the unreasonable people.

Your brushing the subject of some. Realistically only about 1-5% estimated will contribute anything meaningful to society as a whole. The rest are doomed to play their parts and as meaningless as human existence really is for many of us its even more so.

Get over it. Aliens didnt grow you, god didnt make you and whatever purpose you think you have is really unimportant. Your a very complex creature but ultimately your a product of your genetics and environment. You will do and amount to what those two variables predict and not much more. If your gullible and genetically prone to accept hear say as principles to live your life by well thats all well and good. We cant convince you otherwise and you may very well kill or be killed for what you believe in. Its quite unlikely though. The #1 killer in the country is heart disease and then car accidents. USA that is.

So really, to me, its a refusal to accept their lot in life. Its not just religion though.

Yes this argument could easily be placed on a person who believes there are no Gods. But there are two types of atheist and I am one that lacks a belief in God. I don't believe in anything I can not prove to myself. I can not prove there is a God so I hold no belief in God. However I can not prove there is not a God so I hold no belief that there are no Gods.

How do you know there are no gods, is it because you have never seen one, or is it because someone told you there aren't any? Take Love you can't see it, but you know it exists, so it must be real.
