What do you suppose a prophet is?
Must prophets claim to be speaking for or on behalf of God to be prophets? What makes a prophet a true prophet and not a false prophet? Can a prophet be biased and/or prejudiced for a position and still be a true prophet? Can a true prophet lie, exaggerate or distort the truth? What difference is there between a prophet and a person who only sees one side of an issue?

1. What do you suppose a prophet is?
A flickering light in the darkness for those who can't find their matches. 2. Must prophets claim to be speaking for or on behalf of God to be prophets? No. Someone has to believe they were speaking for or on behalf of God, regardless of whether they claimed that role for themselves or not. 3. What makes a prophet a true prophet and not a false prophet? Words. False prophets are those considered as communicating "truth" trough them. 4. Can a prophet be biased and/or prejudiced for a position and still be a true prophet? Sure. Being a "prophet" is a matter of someone else recognizing one as such. 5. Can a true prophet lie, exaggerate or distort the truth? Yes. See #4. 6. What difference is there between a prophet and a person who only sees one side of an issue? I don't understand this last question.
