It is happening, but because it's drawn out over such a long period of time, the effect isn't noticeable to us.

Which in turn means that for an expanding Universe based on solar sytems such as ours, with planets, moons, asteriods
and stars which are all masses of physical materials, you need so much more new energy!

Frank, aren't you trying anymore? He was talking about the sun's radiation, not radiation caused here due to industrial accidents. You knew this but didn't want to admit it.

I've made my case and point, but to entertain the masses, I'll make the effort to afford this one, science and medicine tells us the sun's radiation causes cancer, therefore, the sun's radiation has penetrated the earths atmosphere and is now trapped within that atmosphere. The accumulation of that radiation over billions of years confined within the earth's atmosphere would prevent anything to grow, because radiation takes 100's of years to become inactive!

Growing a corn cob doesn't create any mass. The corn plant takes in mass (e.g. water, air, soil nutrients, etc.), subjects it to chemical and physical processes, and then retains some mass (the cob, kernels, stalk, roots, etc.) and expels the rest (water vapour, carbon dioxide, other compounds, etc.). No mass is gained or lost in the process.

There was a huge source of energy that created all this matter: the Big Bang.
