I can only speak for myself, but when I was a Christian, it felt like the world was against me. I'd turn on the TV and there'd be temptation everywhere... same with the computer. I'd go out with friends and they'd make fun of my beliefs. I'd talk about religion with people, who attacked what I believed. I'd have bad experiences and struggle to understand if/what God was trying to teach me.
Being a Christian is a constant battle, not only with the world outside, but with yourself as well. Though "persecution" in my mind means being despised or hunted down for your beliefs... I don't think that's really an issue... at least not in my neck of the woods.

If these people you mentioned above do not retailate from their persecutions. They are doing righteousness. hence, It falls under the category of being perscuted for doing right. why do i say so? It is righteous not to take revenge upon your self. once you do take revenge though, would you call yourself still persecuted? most probably not anymore. We are on the same page, you just talked of specifics situations which will fall under one of the two categories i mentioned. ![]()
