I am a convert. I have drastically changed my life as a result of my faith. Quote:
Proof? It is not for one person to prove to another, it is a personal choice - God only allows you to find Him through your own free agency. Not forced into believing because of evidence, choose to believe. Quote:

Good for you - thinking for yourself. A word of advice - as you study the different religions - separate the ideas from any attachment to your family - set everything on equal grounds, do not let others influence your opinion of any of it one way or another... there is a scripture about leaving your father and your mother, your life cannot be dictated by them, if you join any religion is has to be of your own free will and choice, not out of obligation to another. It is frustrating when others take credit for your faith - makes you want to rebel just to prove to them that your mind is your own, that they do not control what you believe - once you have proved that to yourself, you are free to explore unimpeded by others wants or desires for you. There are many who have experienced an "auditory phenomenon". Might I add that I was not on drugs or any medications, that I have no mental illness conditions. I have a PhD in engineering, not to brag, just to say I do have a functioning brain... You grew up LDS so you have heard plenty of people share their experiences. Of course, you can only know for sure what you personally experience, it is still your free will and not a question of proving anything with evidence...
