Do you really need help with these?
Genocide is in the context of the conquest of the "promised land," which I don't think ever actually happened. Nevertheless, it is lamented in the prophetical writings that Israel suffered by not killing everyone in the land that they were told to kill. Leaving these people alive meant that they followed their gods and made Yahweh upset, bringing judgment on the Jews. There is a mixed message concerning divorce in the Bible. Moses allowed it, and Jesus does and doesn't depending on the circumstance (not at all or only due to adultery), and Paul is fairly complex regarding divorce.

I know the genocide thing is a little extreme, but it's just an example of God telling people to do something, just like He later tells people not to do things like homosexuality.

In fact, I think a reasonable person might even question the morality of completely destroying one small city here and there, with all the occupants, even in cases that didn't qualify as genocide.

Another red herring. There are no examples of Him curing liars either and we all know God HATES liars.
