No, it doesn't. Adultery is violation of marital fidelity. If neither participants is married, then there is no adultery. Homosexual acts are only adulterous if at least one of the people engaged in them is married to someone else. Homosexual acts between two unmarried people cannot be construed as adultery.

Not at all... and, (sorry rheff) it's not the teaching of the Church.

I admire the love of a mother that would sacrifice her life for her child... but it is not morally obligatory to do so.

Medical necessity. What about the argument that the Church must make exceptions to its teaching when abortion is medically necessary for the mother’s health or a child’s disability?

First, while the Church opposes all direct abortions, it does not condemn procedures which result, indirectly, in the loss of the unborn child as a "secondary effect." For example, if a mother is suffering an ectopic pregnancy (a baby is developing in her fallopian tube, not the womb), a doctor may remove the fallopian tube as therapeutic treatment to prevent the mother’s death. The infant will not survive long after this, but the intention of the procedure and its action is to preserve the mother’s life. It is not a direct abortion.
There also occur, very rarely, situations in which, in order to save the mother’s life, the child needs to be delivered early. But this can be done safely with a normal, induced delivery, or a caesarean section.

The argument for killing disabled unborn children is not a medical one either. There are no disabilities which require directly killing the child in order to save the mother. In fact, disabled children can usually be delivered with no more complications than a child without disabilities. The argument for abortion in these cases is ideological, a belief that it is better—for the child, the family and the whole society—for the child to die than to live with a disability.

That's an interesting view of it. Can you support that with quotes? I don't see a similarity, myself, but maybe you can show me how.

9-10ths got it right. I was wrong. Althou I still believe unmarried sex is wrong, can't prove with scripture, but the spirit agrees. ( so its just a personal thing).

So, why is it a big deal now, then? I meant big deal as in the action having dire consequences for whoever performed it, not as in it being widespread and open to the world. I would think that if it would have the consequences you claim it would, then Jesus would have spoken about it.

True. Again, I think he covered it with the Adulterious generation talk. ( IMO)

All right. Now can you show me where he beat them? All I see is him making a "scourge of small cords" and then chasing them and overthrowing tables. I don't see any mention of beating.

No I can not, but why would he make a WEAPON, if he was this " peace and love" guy you are trying to portary? At the very least , he made a weapon and " drove" them out. You can interpit " drove" however you want. I think he was swinging that thing ( or why would he even make it?)

He was human, wasn't he? We all get angry sometimes, and do things we shouldn't do. This to me was him showing his humanity for once. I still see a big difference between swinging the thing and beating peole with it, though.

Ok, so we admit, he got " angry" or he did not like something. So it is possible that Jesus " does not like" some things.


Thats a far cry from , Jesus " loves" everyone and everything.

Which brings us back to ....... Jesus " loves" the sinner, and " does not like" ( hates) sin.

Is homosexuallity a sin? to some, yes, to others , no.

We can support the positon with scripture, but others will argue other scriptures that we do not hold up to also. I personally think, its a personal thing.

Two queers in studio 54" doing it " does not "fit" the over all theme of the scriptures to me as not being a sin. If its ok with you , so be it.



On that note. All these preachers need to chill when it comes to yelling about Homo's. They don't yell about divorce, over eating, and a ton of other sins, but some preachers it seems like " got it out" for gays.

If pressed on the issue, I will say I believe that the over all theme of the scriptures discourages sodomy and homosexuality. IMO
