I'm not sure how oyu can deny that some people are born gay. There are plenty of examples of this, if you wish to see them. And, it's not that people have to have sex to be happy. It's that they need to be able to express their love the way they feel it to be happy, the same way that you are able to. Some people can go through life perfectly happy without having sex at all, while others need some sexual activity to be happy, and they need to be able to express it with those they love to be happy.

And, you mentioned earlier people telling you to pull the Christian title off your avatar? Well, you don't need to get rid of it, just maybe look a little deeper into your faith, I'm positive that your church preaches against abortion, just like mine.

I've been a Catholic before. I know what my parents' church teaches, and it's not to let a mother die to save an unborn child. Sure, avoiding abortion whenever possible is a good thing, but it's not worth any sacrifice that must be made. There are some things that outweigh it, and that's a pretty common teaching throughout the Catholic church as I've experienced it.

I think the difference is that churches like my parents' use their "God-given" reason to decide these things, rather than rely solely on other people's interpretations of the Bible to tell them the way. they understand the Bible for what it is, a guide, not the be-all-end-all authority on every matter that comes up. They use the skills "God gave them" to apply the lessons of the guide in their daily lives.

"Hate" is a strong word. It is much different than "Don't like". Again, could you please provide me with quotes showing him making a whip and beating people with it?

Much like a woman being a physician was a non-issue in first century Judea as well. From this, we can see the source of strong Christian opposition to homosexuality and female doctors... right?

Or... we can just say that Jesus didn't say anything on the subject and leave it at that.

There are also plenty of studies that show a strong correlation between sexual orientation and various characteristics that are set during pregnancy, indicating that by the time the characteristic is determined, so is the sexual orientation.

I was under the impression that the Catholic Church forbids abortion in all cases, even if it's to save the life of the mother.

AND, you still didn't answer my question, does your church say that abortion is immoral? Stick to the issues.
Your value system should read God/children(if you have them)/spouse. God himself send HIS son to save all of HIS children, who are you to do the opposite?

We've already seen what your limited knowledge of the Catholic Church is in previous threads. Yes, it is to save the child in all circumstances. Read your literature, otherwise, I wouldn't address what the chruch does and doesn't say.

Have we? I don't remember that, but if you say so. Read my post, otherwise I wouldn't address what I did or didn't say. I said that in the case of my parents' church and at least one other that I've been a part of, which are both Catholic, don't teach it to that extreme. Also, do you have to abide by everything they teach? Is it not OK to use your own reason to decide things for yourself?
