Hitler revealed mankind to itself, showing how even how a whole nation of supposedly 'good' people can be turned to the darkness.

The Hitler lesson revealed what man is capable of..genocide and murder..on a grand scale.

Hitler did not gas millions on his own, he did not turn gypsy and jewish babies into bars of soap on his own....

Mankind is responsible as a whole for all suffering, just as Germany was for Hitler.

I find mankind guilty on all charges.

I think that if I lived in those days I'd more be afraid, very afraid than into murdering..

Well German mankind is no different from American or British mankind, look at the USA now, torturing to gain information, for a higher cause...that is exactly what Adolf said about killing Jews...different situation, same dysfunction.

But it wasn’t the whole nation was it? Yes many of the civilian population are guilty of allowing this to happen, and many actively participated in horrific acts of violence. But many also acted heroically, risking their lives to protect those who would be killed and opposing the atrocities.

Of course there were individuals that tried to help, the father of a family friend used to smuggle in antibiotics to Belsen for the inmates, if found out he would have been executed.

I am talking about the German people as a whole.

Those heroes are/were special cases.
