Are we capable of refusing God's love? Or is he like the "Don" on The Godfather, who makes us "an offer we cannot refuse"?

Would rejection of God's love mean that love is actually destroyed in this scenario, or just ignored?

I don't think so... we're not capable of refusing God's wrath, either.

I see it more as a Columbia House Music offer where one gets 12 albums/tapes/CDs for a penny but you have to buy three at regular club prices within three years. After this agreement is fulfilled, GOD allows us to choose one free selection (but we must pay postage and handling) and then one is allowed to quit with no further obligation. That's 16 Cds for the price of three! Now how can anyone refuse a deal like that?

But no matter how many times you call or write asking them to stop, they'll still keep sending you the monthly Featured Selection and billing you unless you fill out and return the enclosed card within five (5) calendar days.

All the priests, religions and men who speak for God say His love is unconditional and "free" for everyone, yet they make accepting God into your life a living hell of restrictive and often unjust rules, with terms and conditions applicable. That's why when "God's love" was on offer, I thought twice, got out of there and never got back to Him about it...
