i really struggle with this attahment that people have to life and our purpose. dont misunderstand, i would like to live for a bit longer but when it happens it happens.
we seek a purpose - some form of permience - to justify ourselves. we waste so much time
i just think we should all learn to 'be'

I agree and disagree. I think some attachment to this life is a good thing. Some of my favorite moments in life have been the result of attachment to things. For instance, sports are an arbitrary attachment, but, if you let yourself get into it, they produce some wonderful highs, of course along with some horrible lows.

i am not promoting passifism to life, rather the opposite. its about living in the now, while understanding the consequences for the remainding time. enjoy life, not at the expense of others, but understand that beyond this world it means nothing. time spent in TOO much personal contemplation on the ills of life is wasting time. (as is sports activities in my opinion but i will let that one slide)
just my way of thinking though

"Life" in general has no purpose other than surviving long enough to perpetuate itself.
Greater purposes are individual to the species, with homo sapiens possibly striving to find other purposes in life besides basic survival and reproduction.
