No. We have a choice of Obligatory Prayers onlyh one of which requires prostration. We are required to perform an obligatory prayer ONCE each day.

A good Catholic who attends mass every day also kneels, as do Church of England, Orthodox and some Lutheran disciplines. That's why there are kneeling rails in many churches.

No. Kneel, place hands on the floor dip your head and place the forehead on the floor. If you like I can post the prayer in question with the particular insturctions. The instructions for the Short Prayer are to stand and face Bahji, which for me is very slightly south of east.
