i need three different genres with three seperate theological themes (excluding obvious religious films such as the passion) , to compare for an essay. although thinking of films that have theological interpratation in it easy, its hard to come up with them when seperating the genres from the films.....its really 6 differing things....anyone help?

Lol, the best movies with theological themes are based on books. I've found them in Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Chronicles of Narnia. That's one genre right there if you pick one of those...

Let's see. Shakespeare films are chock full of religious themes. Saved is a movie about religious hypocrisy. I heard that Doubt was a really good play (may not be a movie).

Ooh, Chariots of Fire, The Patriot, The Crucible, and Braveheart would be good ones for dramas.

Forrest Gump, Amadeus, Requiem for a Dream, Jesus Christ Superstar, Star Wars, The Matrix, O Brother Where Art Thou!, The Prince of Egypt, Remember the Titans, Schindler's List, To Kill a Mockingbird...

Weird, all the movies I like have religious themes. Imagine that! :-D
