Which of these three divine calamities that are popular legends do you believe to be historical fact?
The Fall (Adam & Eve, Satan etc) The Flood (Noah, the Ark etc) The War in Heaven (Lucifer vs. God, the battle of Angels etc) Note, two are Biblical, the other is extra-Biblical (but frequently believed by the authority of religious tradition anyway). Please explain why you believe/do not believe that they are/are not historical. You can of course select more than one option.Last edited by Random; 03-28-2008 at 06:41 PM. |

Dang, you're right.
Can you change a poll and add another option? ![]() |

They are all described in some degree or other in the scriptures I accept. I should probably note that I don't belive that the "War in Heaven" involved combat, though - it was more of a debate than anything else.

The War in Heaven predates LDS Scripture, but I accept your viewpoint.

Yes, okay. But your scripture is only so old.
Please, I messed up enough not including a "none of the above" option on the thread, let's not have it turn into a specific LDS debate. Thanks. ![]() |

![]() I didn't ever say we came up with the idea - just that it is mentioned in our scripture.

I had and have no intention of doing so. I was just answering your question.
Do I believe in them? Yes Why? Because they are described in some way or another in scriptoral accounts that I accept.

None of the above, all obvious myths.
