Practice what you preach.

I agree with the statements that it is the same thing makes any person a good human.
Christians, however, are supposed to practice as part of Jesus' teachings: 1. Treating people the same way you want to be treated. 2. Loving everyone including your brothers (or sisters) of your faith, your neighbors and your enemies. 3. Show mercy 4. Don't judge or you will be judged in the same way. There are others, too. People who are non-Christians and people who are atheists (non-religious) are able to follow those rules, too, and they do at times without ever realizing they are God's rules. ![]()

Quote:
As to the Bible's significance in the modern world-----have you actually ever read the Bible? If you have, in any sort of depth, you wouldn't need to ask that question. The Bible is full of timeless wisdom. Basic human nature, and humanity's relationship to God, never changes. This is what is contained in Scripture. The Bible is not a science book. It is a spiritual book. And as such, it is relevant to every generation; and that is one of the reasons it is still, after all these years, one of the most read books in the world.

I don't know what makes a good Christian, but Christ makes a Christian good.

What makes a good Christian?
Someone who tries to act and behave just like The Christ figure in the Bible. In one way, it is admirable, in another its ambitious. |
