If you believe in something long and hard enough you can make it real to yourself. Somebody could believe in the great walrus spirit. They could believe that this was their true deity, and that it will lead that person to paradise. If they believe in this being like all these other religious folks, then they'll eventually hit points where they being to feel the tusks of love from their walrus spirit embracing them. There are still kids who believe Santa is real enough to where they claim they really saw him, or felt his presence. People who have lost loved ones whom they wish to see again will often claim to feel the presence of their loved one around them at times. If you believe in it or feel you need it enough, your mind will eventually tell you it is.

I don't believe only people of my religion can feel God's love. He loves all his children, everyone. So someone who sincerely interprets God entirely different from my interpretation, can still feel his love. God will reach out to each of us in any way we are open to receiving him.
I believe God is a being with a physical body of flesh and bone. Someone else may believe he's a mass of spirit or mist or some entity without form. God still loves each of us equally, no matter who's right, and will extend love and blessings to both. So if I
sincerely perceive him to be, as you put it, a walrus, he'd still love me. But that doesn't mean I'm perceiving him correctly. And as ridiculous as it may seem to you, it doesn't mean he's not real.
I have felt his presence and influence. I have had actual answers to my prayers. I've received thoughts and messages from him that I KNOW didn't come out of my own head. I've witnessed small miracles. I've also seen,
quite vividly, the difference in the lives of those who believe and obey God, and those who don't.
Having a loving Father in Heaven to turn to, when there's no place else to turn, is a comfort greater than I can express. I cannot imagine life without it.
