Generally speaking, are atheists closed minded, or is that just propaganda? Why or why not?

Are atheists as a group any more or less closed minded than theists?

i think atheists are probably more open minded many look at all religions (with the same skeptisism maybe) but look they will, many theists are bound by thier beliefs and will not go any further

I think most atheists are pretty open minded. But I don't think being an atheist allows a person to be more open minded than a theist.

Depends on the environment and surroundings. If the country is ver christianbased and mom and dad were christian then chance is there that the atheist son had to be a lot more open minded than when their parents and country were atheist..
I think eventually, theists and atheists are alike in that case, only it seems that atheists could be more open minded simply because their are more theists than atheists..

I think they are just as opened/closed minded as theists. People who claim all atheists are closed minded are just as ignorant as atheists who claim all theists are closed minded. In my opinion, when it finally comes down to the end, it is the individual person them self, that decides if they are open or closed minded. Not their religion.

I think that an atheist and a theist can, potentially, be equally open minded.
However, in practice, I feel that both groups are less open minded than they could be. I also feel that it is less likely for a person to be open minded towards an issue if they reside within the majority view on that issue because they will encounter less challenges to their views.
