Because, maybe because some people find things which they don't....like? The flexibily of hinduism is great, its not exactly like "create-a-god", but they have a personal relationship with god. A one-to-one connect with god.

The same reason why Christians pray to Jesus, instead of the one universal God, because it's easier for people to relate to a being who is concrete and tangible than the abstract concept of the one universal God. You look at Jesus and you see the one universal God in him. Some Hindus look at Krishna or Shiva and they see the one universal God in them.

The signifigance of all Jesus did is not seen on the surface, when he died he condemned sin in the flesh, he is a saviour of the spirit that last forever not the flesh, one day everyone will have to put of this earthly house (our bodies), they can only be saved temporarally.

While you're waiting for that day to come at least try to enjoy this life and flesh just a little. Honestly, God made the world and proclaimed it to be "Good" and yet some people are so eager to be leaving it. It seems almost ungrateful to me.

If I understand right everything in Hindu is Brahman, and a Hindu himself is and meditates to realize it and get away from the illusion caused by maya. So I guess that would be one-on-one since the Hindu himself is Brahman. That's the diffrence between Christianity and Hinduism, we say God is higher than anything he created, the heaven and earth are the works of his hands, not a part of him.

Well, that's only in the Advaita Vedanta school of thought. Dvaita, Dvaitadvaita, Achintya Bheda Abheda, Vishishtadvaita all perceive God and men as being separate entities (though some of these schools still argue God manifests in every living entity, even though this entity is himself not God).

If your guess is correct, then the Jesus myth explained the unexplainable. Precisely what, then, did the Jesus myth explain?
