Because, maybe because some people find things which they don't....like? The flexibily of hinduism is great, its not exactly like "create-a-god", but they have a personal relationship with god. A one-to-one connect with god.

If I understand right everything in Hindu is Brahman, and a Hindu himself is and meditates to realize it and get away from the illusion caused by maya. So I guess that would be one-on-one since the Hindu himself is Brahman. That's the diffrence between Christianity and Hinduism, we say God is higher than anything he created, the heaven and earth are the works of his hands, not a part of him.
