Well? Anyone any suggestions?
The Covenant is redundant and our contract with the Creator is up for renewal: what do you guys suggest the pretext, subtext and details of our new agreement should be (remember, the devil's in the detail...)? Which is an abstract way of saying, how can we have the Good (our immortal souls, a Loving God, Yahweh the Righteous Warrior or whatever...) from the manifestly Bad (Abraham and his curse, dogmatic religion, the Bible etc)? Cos' let's face it, Atheism and Humanism are going nowhere: they're just having their day in the Sun presently, but when dusk comes, people will once again re-turn to the mysteries and seek their enlightenments through the soul and authentic spirituality, and anyway we all know disbelief in God is silly and humanism is just a fluffy form of Satanism (which ironically, is GENUINELY worship and veneration of a being that truly doesn't exist...). So, if YOU were personally in charge of formulating a new spirituality for the technocratic future, one that could prosper and survive in the New Age to come, how would you go about it? Discuss. |

No seriously, anyone can answer if they play along with the hypothetical. We could all learn something. I believe a change is coming, you might not. |

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I think the next step in mankind's spirituality is having the myths while recognizing they may not be true. In other words, people will stop being literalists, but will turn to the mythologies that they feel most apply to them even if they recognize the mythology may not represent a history that literally happened.

The whole sin/guilt business would need sorting. Also a move from acceptance of a point of view to developing an understanding for oneself, I think this would naturally flow from Nutshells suggestion.

I might be biased, but I think the world will gradually move away from dualism and theism towards pantheism, panentheism, and monism.
