Spare me.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing about you, Gnomon.

OP, everytime you feel like laughing @ the Christians with their hymns and chants, remind yourself that the frequencies their music can tap into and the harmonic range of their singing are of a much higher spiritual quality than your post. In fact, you could start by studying Gregorian Chants and their vibronic effects on DNA by coming to an understanding of Music Theory and its unquestionable influence on the development of Western Science.
Failing that, you could simply remain attached to your shallow, dim view of the faith and delight in being ignorantly amused @ what you don't comprehend. |

I just don't know what there is to get? They think there is some being up there somewhere which no-one has seen for thousands of years. I guess it helps some people but I think you should just suck it up and deal with it yourself, but that's just me.
And penguino, I don't know anything about Hinduism but I bet it's just as silly. And only thing I should watch out for are the crazy ones and if you do they win. And there aren't many religious types where I live, and definitely not crazy ones. And P.S. I am pretty nice, just pretty intolerant of ignorance.

Sometimes niceness is a matter of opinion.

Nah, if we met in real life and we didn't discuss religion I bet you would find me very pleasant to be around.

And this post was never intended to be an informative critique on religion, since I don't have enough knowledge to do anything of the sort, I was just hoping to read some funny stories.

I understand you completely. And I can be very immature also for my age.
But with the beliefs I have now going to any religious ceremony is painful. The last one I attended was at a good mates childs catholic 'christening' 5 or so years ago. I mean this in no disrespectful way, but I felt like the only sane man there. The only thing I suggest is that you need to temper the enthusiasm to laugh, and try to work against it in a more understanding way. You rarely change someones mind with ridicule.
