Half-truths, when twisted to suit a preconcieved agenda with no basis in fact or reality, just confuses people. So Zeitgeist, whilst correctly asserting that Christianity is based on earlier myths, warps the potential of this realization by throwing in false information presented as "facts" to prove it. I know many inexperienced Conspiracy theorists believe the movie is right because it's their first intro to the genre, but the rest of us who were up to this s**t long before the internet would know better.

What I mean is that perhaps it can be considered a subtle commentary or satire on the process of creating "conspiracy theories." Given the title, and the fact that it's an arbitrary combination of three different categories of conspiracies . . .

There is something to that, certainly. If Zeitgeist were made in secret or promoted covertly by agencies or Institutes for culture creation or behavioural control, you can bet there would be a few in-jokes that they would try to get people to take seriously, all the while laughing up their sleeves. I agree with you also that, the three categories of CT chosen for the movie are very, very obvious - probably because they were meant to be ones that an ignorant person might be familiar with even if they never before indulged the genre.

Wow, I have never seen a grouping of topics that screamed "CONSPIRACY THEORY" more than that. You don't even have to watch it to begin to smell the crap that will most likely be fed to you by doing so.

What was the point in making this video? Did someone think to them self "You know what would be fun, lets make a video that will **** off as many people as humanly possible".
