It never ceases to amaze me how some people on forums such as this one just love to dispense spiritual advice to others. The posters offering the advice seem to have no concept that they just might be mistaken in their belief system, they are also often the ones that seem to have the least intellect too! None of us 'KNOW', in a provable way, anything faithwise however sincerely we might believe a thing to be true!

That is just human nature. All people do that, religious and non-religious as well. It takes too long to say "I believe in God even though there is really no way I can prove that He exists to any one who doesn't believe" so we just say "I believe in God". Whenever people post they are posting their opinions whether they say so or not. I don't think we should have to say "I may be wrong" every time we post anything, since we already know it and so do you.
The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know.

Most people hold firmer to beliefs than they do to knowledge.
The boundaries of knowledge are ever changing. Most of the detail I was taught in science as a boy 50/60 years a go was by today's knowledge, not just lacking it was wrong. even many basic theories have evolved almost out of recognition.

The problem with "you don't KNOW, you BELIEVE" is that knowing is just believing with a degree of certainty of thrown in.
The error isn't in what is being said, but what is being heard, listening for absoluteness when there only certainty is being presented.

I am very much aware of the possibility that I am wrong in my beliefs. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop following them. My faith is a part of me and to try and dispel it force it to fit into someone else's idea of faith would cause me to loose a part of myself.

Admitting you know nothing is the first step to obtaining wisdom.

I try not to give anyone advice, because I don't KNOW where faith is concerned!
