Contrary to popular (read uninformed) opinion "god" is not "all-knowing". The simple fact is that "god" does not know everything and that is why I suspect "it" created us. In Christian theology it is said that "god" created us in "his" own image. Being somewhat slow and stupid, I interpret this to mean that the Singularity discovered the means for creating "mini-singularities" imbued with all "his" attributes in order to fill in the holes of what "he" did not know and could not imagine. Hindu thought also describes creation as the process by which "God" learns about who "he" is and if that is the case then it sort of flies in the face of the suggestion that "it" is all-knowing.
Aside from this I would rather expect that knowing all that is would become boring as there would no longer be any wonder or surprises. It would almost be like being cheated of the prize at the end of a very long race. My guess is that this lunacy arose from the simple fact that no man knows everything and so so-called "deep thinkers" in the past conjectured that a god should possess what we do not. Understandable, but not terribly reasonable, imho.

Any God that is not omniscient is nothing more than a more advanced alien, and not worth worshipping.

It's funny, but the Christian Scriptures don't claim that God knows EVERYTHING, but he sure knows a lot more than me!

That depends heavily on which of the gods you're referring to.

Hehe, that doesn't narrow it down any.
I believe they all exist, from all the pantheons.

Then again, Sharon I do not understand exactly why any god worth their salt would want to be worshipped. It sounds like an altogether human fixation to be reasonable in any way.
